Welcome, fair ladies; come near, my good sirs
To this kingdom known as Vongola
Stand not at the door, but further in the courts
Here you're welcome the length of your stay

Here are born tales of valor and renown
The most famous of which center
Around the unique Knights and their King
To hear, come near and just enter

Six Knights and one King are they, each distinct
They fulfill their roles as they best see
Each one has a color that matches them
Their role and their personality

The Knight of Red with temper hot
Burns bright, his loyalty unsurpassed
His sword is for his king alone; he fights
Fierce as a storm that sweeps through and past

The Knight of Purple, independent and strong,
Upholds justice in his unique way
He is the strongest of the Knights yet he stands
Alone, a single cloud in the sky

The Indigo Knight is not one, but two
Not a team, a single and a whole
Impossible to understand they are
As the deceiving mist, hiding all

The Blue Knight has a smile of gold
And a warm heart that sooths those around
Though unmatched with a sword, his words are
The calming rain that moistens the ground

The youngest Knight, the Knight colored Green
Is selfish, a coward, and a fool
Yet his shield defends, taking danger away
From the kingdom like a lightning pole

The Knight of Yellow uses not a sword
His fists are his weapons with which he fights
When sets his sights he turns not away
A burning sun blazing hot and bright

Over them all the King of Orange rules
Yet among them in battle he stands
His eyes are steady, the accepting sky he
Protecting all with his own two hands

In this kingdom…
The king fights alongside his men
The men never fight all together
(Except sometimes against one another)
The people are as afraid of two knights as they are "villains"
There are internal conflicts constantly
And yet there is peace.
Here’s the poem at last! I used several little tricks like messing with syllables in lines (nine for lines two and four rather than the “usual” eight or ten), implied rhyming, and more. Then I got to the final verse and just said, “Let’s throw everyone off by changing everything around” haha.

… Personally, I’m not a huge fan of Purple and Indigo verses. They feel too forced. If I think of something better, I’ll go back and change it, but for now I think it works.

I want to write a fanfiction off of this, although I’m not sure where I’d start. Maybe I will, maybe I won’t. We shall have to see.

Katekyo Hitman Reborn belongs to Amano Akira. I do not own anything.
